The 7/20 Foundation entered a wreath in Aurora’s 18th Annual Festival of wreaths. It was on display at the holiday tree lighting. We were honored to support the Aurora History Museum & Historic Sites with our submission to the Aurora Museum Foundation‘s 18th Annual Festival of Wreaths. The staff there hold a special place in our hearts for the compassion and care they have shown by preserving items left in 2012 at the makeshift memorial. Douwe Blumberg’s 7/20 memorial piece was inspired by his visit to the museum where he saw the 1000 cranes given to Aurora in 2012. Each crane on this wreath was folded with love…and in honor, contains a heart bearing the name of our 13 angels and others who are now with them due to mass tragedy this year.
